Traveling for the holidays?

A quick and easy way to ease jet lag is at your feet!

How to use Earthing to help ease jet lag:

What to do:

Ground yourself as soon as possible after landing when flying through times zones.

How:

  • Sit, stand, walk barefoot on a patch of grass, soil, or the wet sand at the beach.
  • Take a swim! The ocean is highly conducive – in addition to lakes, streams, and brooks. If you’re traveling anywhere near a beach, dip your feet or take a swim.
  • Bring an Earthing® mat or blanket on your trip if the earth is not accessible for you.

How long:

Twenty minutes to an hour. If you have the luxury of time, take a nap on a beach or on a grounding pad or sleep the night grounded.

What is the theory:

At any point on the planet, the Earth’s surface electric potential level fluctuates according to the position of the sun and moon, creating such cycles as the circadian cycle. Grounding yourself after a long flight resets your inner clockwork to “local time” on the ground and helps to reduce the symptoms referred to as "jet lag". Additionally, when you go up in an airplane, you build up a static charge in your body that you can dissipate by touching the earth’s surface.
