How to Use

Please follow the directions included in each Earthing Kit. Here are general directions for setting up your Earthing product:

STEP 1: Test your wall outlet with the included Outlet Checker to ensure it's grounded.
GROUNDED = Two amber lights illuminated. You are ready to move on to step 2.
NOT GROUNDED = Any other light combination. If this is the case, try testing other outlets. If none of them are grounded, then you will need to purchase a Ground Rod to use with your product.

STEP 2: Push the included Safety Adapter into your grounded wall outlet or into the surge protector that's plugged into the grounded wall outlet.

STEP 3: Firmly push one end of the Coil Cord into the Safety Adapter. Place the Earthing product where you'd like to use it. Snap the other end of the Coil Cord onto the connector tab of the Earthing product.

STEP 4: For instant grounding, make direct skin contact with the Earthing product. If you prefer a thin layer of material between your skin and the Earthing product, you'll still be grounded once your sweat creates channels for Earth's electrons to pass through.

Recommended Materials:
- Natural Fabrics: Cotton and bamboo are the best choices for optimal grounding.
- Partially Synthetic Fabrics: These are acceptable but may take longer to establish grounding.

Avoid:
- Fully Synthetic Materials: These block electron flow and prevent effective grounding.

MATERIALS:

Material: Each product in the Earthing Essentials Bundle is made from our proprietary carbon-based grounding material that is the culmination of two decades of Clint Ober's research and development. Carbon, the second most abundant element in the human body, effortlessly conducts the Earth's electrons.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Do:
- Wipe down the Earthing products using a non-corrosive cleaner like soap and water on a damp sponge.
- Air dry before using again.

Do Not:
- Use bleach, chlorine, or harsh chemicals to clean the Earthing products.
- Do not apply lotion, creams, or body oil to your skin before touching the Earthing products as these can oxidize and damage conductivity over time.

Grounding 101

What is grounding?

The earth beneath your feet provides you with food and water. It gives you a surface to sit, stand, walk, run, swim, climb, play, and build on. It also provides you with something very surprising - electrons. When you touch the ground, the electrons flow into you. This is called being “grounded.” Earthing® products connect you to the earth's electrons while you're inside sleeping, working, and relaxing. Connecting to the ground by using our products indoors is called ‘Earthing.’

Is grounding a new concept?

No, it's not. Throughout practically all of history, humans have walked barefoot on the Earth. They have sat and slept on conductive animal skins, and fashioned those skins into footwear. Living like this enabled our predecessors to absorb the Earth’s natural energy into their bodies at all times. Over time, as we've "advanced" as a society, we've disconnected ourselves more and more from touching the Earth. Today, everyone is chronically disconnected from ground and as a society, we largely live our lives indoors. At Earthing®, we're committed to spreading the message that we all need to reconnect. We encourage everyone to get outside and put their bare feet on the ground whenever possible. We've created products that allow you to be connected to the Earth while you're sleeping, working, and living your life indoors.

Why do I need Earthing products® if I can just go barefoot on the Earth?

Earthing® products are a convenient and safe way to ground yourself for more hours each day. Our ancestors walked barefoot on the earth, wrapped their feet in conductive leather, and slept on animal hides on the ground. Such practices were part of the ordinary way of life throughout history. Our ancestors were always grounded. This is the ideal, but no longer how we all live. We rarely go outside barefoot save for when we are at the beach. We wear insulated shoes and we sleep on elevated beds inside our insulated houses.

Can I be grounded too much?

No, it's impossible to be grounded too much. (You can definitely be UN-grounded too much though!)

How quickly will grounding work?

Your body is a good conductor of free electrons. We have seen that when people are grounded in experiments with Earthing® Patches placed on the bottom of their feet (simulating standing barefoot on the Earth), they sometimes feel a tingling sensation moving up the legs. We associate this with the movement of electrons from the Earth up into the body. People say they often feel the same sensation when walking barefoot along the wet sand at the beach. In our research, we have “clocked” the speed of this activity. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to reach the upper body, such as your shoulder. A knee would be reached faster as it is closer to the grounded feet. The effects on the body can vary depending on the individual, the method of grounding, and the condition you're hoping to improve. While some people may start feeling the effects almost immediately, it might take a few days or weeks of regular grounding sessions for others to notice the effects of grounding.

I did not receive the Earthing Patches and Case that should have been included in my Starter Bundle but NO PROBLEM! A quick email to support and they are now on their way and my email was answered immediately! I love the customer service Earthing.com provides. As for the mat and the bands, I have others and love them so much that I keep ordering more of them. ;-)

So far a wonderful product, giving me some good pain relief

Everything came intact. Have now used sleeping mat for 2 nights as well as pillow case and have noticed the following: neck and shoulders no longer hurting, bicep strain/pain in one arm is greatly improved, knee which had surgery 12 years ago for torn patellar ligament is finally setting down and pain is reduced at least by half, my sense of smell is greatly heightened and visual colors are more intense and my dream state is very busy. I wasn't expecting my senses to be more acute but I love it..
