How to Use

STEP 1: Test your wall outlet with the included Outlet Checker to ensure it's grounded.
GROUNDED = Two amber lights illuminated. You are ready to move on to step 2.
NOT GROUNDED = Any other light combination. If this is the case, try testing other outlets. If none of them are grounded, then you will need to purchase a Ground Rod to use with your product.

STEP 2: Push the included Safety Adapter into your grounded wall outlet or into the surge protector that's plugged into the grounded wall outlet.

STEP 3: Firmly push one end of the Coil Cord into the Safety Adapter. Snap the other end of the Coil Cord onto the connector tab of the Universal Band.

STEP 4: Wrap the Universal Band where you'd like to use it on your arm or leg and velcro it closed. You're grounded! Repeat this process with the second Band if you'd like to use two at the same time on separate body parts.

The Earthing Universal Bands have a center made from our proprietary carbon-based grounding material that is the culmination of two decades of Clint Ober's research and development. Carbon, the second most abundant element in the human body, effortlessly conducts Earth's electrons. The strap of the Universal Band is made from a rubber, nylon and polyester blend for comfort and durability.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:

Do:
- Wipe down the Bands using a non-corrosive cleaner like soap and water on a damp sponge.
- Air dry before rolling the Bands back up.

Do Not:
- Use bleach, chlorine, or harsh chemicals to clean the Bands.
- Do not apply lotion, creams, or body oil to your skin before touching the Bands as these can oxidize and damage conductivity over time.

Grounding 101

What is grounding?

The earth beneath your feet provides you with food and water. It gives you a surface to sit, stand, walk, run, swim, climb, play, and build on. It also provides you with something very surprising - electrons. When you touch the ground, the electrons flow into you. This is called being “grounded.” Earthing® products connect you to the earth's electrons while you're inside sleeping, working, and relaxing. Connecting to the ground by using our products indoors is called ‘Earthing.’

Is grounding a new concept?

No, it's not. Throughout practically all of history, humans have walked barefoot on the Earth. They have sat and slept on conductive animal skins, and fashioned those skins into footwear. Living like this enabled our predecessors to absorb the Earth’s natural energy into their bodies at all times. Over time, as we've "advanced" as a society, we've disconnected ourselves more and more from touching the Earth. Today, everyone is chronically disconnected from ground and as a society, we largely live our lives indoors. At Earthing®, we're committed to spreading the message that we all need to reconnect. We encourage everyone to get outside and put their bare feet on the ground whenever possible. We've created products that allow you to be connected to the Earth while you're sleeping, working, and living your life indoors.

Why do I need Earthing products® if I can just go barefoot on the Earth?

Earthing® products are a convenient and safe way to ground yourself for more hours each day. Our ancestors walked barefoot on the earth, wrapped their feet in conductive leather, and slept on animal hides on the ground. Such practices were part of the ordinary way of life throughout history. Our ancestors were always grounded. This is the ideal, but no longer how we all live. We rarely go outside barefoot save for when we are at the beach. We wear insulated shoes and we sleep on elevated beds inside our insulated houses.

Can I be grounded too much?

No, it's impossible to be grounded too much. (You can definitely be UN-grounded too much though!)

How quickly will grounding work?

Your body is a good conductor of free electrons. We have seen that when people are grounded in experiments with Earthing® Patches placed on the bottom of their feet (simulating standing barefoot on the Earth), they sometimes feel a tingling sensation moving up the legs. We associate this with the movement of electrons from the Earth up into the body. People say they often feel the same sensation when walking barefoot along the wet sand at the beach. In our research, we have “clocked” the speed of this activity. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to reach the upper body, such as your shoulder. A knee would be reached faster as it is closer to the grounded feet. The effects on the body can vary depending on the individual, the method of grounding, and the condition you're hoping to improve. While some people may start feeling the effects almost immediately, it might take a few days or weeks of regular grounding sessions for others to notice the effects of grounding.

Very pleased with my Earthing products

I've been thinking about ordering the Earthing Universal Band 2 pack for a while because of intermittent pain in my left wrist. I already have been Earthing for nearly 13 years by sleeping on an Earthing sheet and am currently sleeping on the Earthing sleep mat which has replaced the sheet. That has kept the pain caused by inflammation in my hip/lower back at bay since I first started Earthing. I recently decided to order the Earthing Universal band 2 pack and try using it on my left wrist to see if it could help with the pain there. I've only been using it for 3 days, but I do feel that it has helped with reducing the frequency and level of the pain in my wrist. I also took advantage of the promotion to order the two free pairs of Earthing Slides. I have been wearing Earthing slides for approximately 2 years and it is about time to replace them. I wear them every day and I find them to be very comfortable. They give me a way to stay grounded when I'm walking outside.

Amazing

We sleep so DEEPLY on the mattress cover. We even put a cotton mattress cover on top. Universal pad on top. We love it and so does our dog. We are hoping it helps him with his epilepsy.

Too early to tell

I'm not sure if it is doing anything yet, but it feels good on my foot where I had surgery some time ago. I sometimes have inflammation from the scar tissue and hope it will provide relief.
