How to Use

Please follow the directions included in each Earthing Kit. Here are general directions for setting up your Earthing product:

STEP 1: Test your wall outlet with the included Outlet Checker to ensure it's grounded.
GROUNDED = Two amber lights illuminated. You are ready to move on to step 2.
NOT GROUNDED = Any other light combination. If this is the case, try testing other outlets. If none of them are grounded, then you will need to purchase a Ground Rod to use with your product.

STEP 2: Push the included Safety Adapter into your grounded wall outlet or into the surge protector that's plugged into the grounded wall outlet.

STEP 3: Firmly push one end of the Coil Cord into the Safety Adapter. Place the Earthing product where you'd like to use it. Snap the other end of the Coil Cord onto the connector tab of the Earthing product.

STEP 4: For instant grounding, make direct skin contact with the Earthing product. If you prefer a thin layer of material between your skin and the Earthing product, you'll still be grounded once your sweat creates channels for Earth's electrons to pass through.

Earthing's proprietary carbon-based grounding material is the result of over two decades of research and development by Clint Ober. Carbon, the second most abundant element in the human body, effortlessly conducts the Earth’s electrons while its hypoallergenic properties help to combat allergens in your mattress. Earthing's unique grounding material is vegan, eco-friendly, durable, 100% conductive, and easy to clean.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
The hypoallergenic nature of carbon helps combat allergens in your bed. These covers not only ground you, they also create a physical shield against the dust and mites living in your mattress.

Easy Cleaning: Simply clean with a little soap and water on a cloth, then wipe clean with plain water and allow to dry naturally. The Earthing® Universal Mat should be wiped down regularly to ensure good conductivity and to avoid build up of skin oils.

Do:
- Wipe down the Mattress Cover using a non-corrosive cleaner like soap and water on a damp sponge.
- Air dry before using it again.

Do Not:
- Use bleach, chlorine, or harsh chemicals to clean the Universal Mat.
- Do not apply lotion, creams, or body oil to your skin before touching the Universal Mat as these can oxidize and damage conductivity over time.

Grounding 101

What is grounding?

The earth beneath your feet provides you with food and water. It gives you a surface to sit, stand, walk, run, swim, climb, play, and build on. It also provides you with something very surprising - electrons. When you touch the ground, the electrons flow into you. This is called being “grounded.” Earthing® products connect you to the earth's electrons while you're inside sleeping, working, and relaxing. Connecting to the ground by using our products indoors is called ‘Earthing.’

Is grounding a new concept?

No, it's not. Throughout practically all of history, humans have walked barefoot on the Earth. They have sat and slept on conductive animal skins, and fashioned those skins into footwear. Living like this enabled our predecessors to absorb the Earth’s natural energy into their bodies at all times. Over time, as we've "advanced" as a society, we've disconnected ourselves more and more from touching the Earth. Today, everyone is chronically disconnected from ground and as a society, we largely live our lives indoors. At Earthing®, we're committed to spreading the message that we all need to reconnect. We encourage everyone to get outside and put their bare feet on the ground whenever possible. We've created products that allow you to be connected to the Earth while you're sleeping, working, and living your life indoors.

Why do I need Earthing products® if I can just go barefoot on the Earth?

Earthing® products are a convenient and safe way to ground yourself for more hours each day. Our ancestors walked barefoot on the earth, wrapped their feet in conductive leather, and slept on animal hides on the ground. Such practices were part of the ordinary way of life throughout history. Our ancestors were always grounded. This is the ideal, but no longer how we all live. We rarely go outside barefoot save for when we are at the beach. We wear insulated shoes and we sleep on elevated beds inside our insulated houses.

Can I be grounded too much?

No, it's impossible to be grounded too much. (You can definitely be UN-grounded too much though!)

How quickly will grounding work?

Your body is a good conductor of free electrons. We have seen that when people are grounded in experiments with Earthing® Patches placed on the bottom of their feet (simulating standing barefoot on the Earth), they sometimes feel a tingling sensation moving up the legs. We associate this with the movement of electrons from the Earth up into the body. People say they often feel the same sensation when walking barefoot along the wet sand at the beach. In our research, we have “clocked” the speed of this activity. It takes about 20 to 30 minutes to reach the upper body, such as your shoulder. A knee would be reached faster as it is closer to the grounded feet. The effects on the body can vary depending on the individual, the method of grounding, and the condition you're hoping to improve. While some people may start feeling the effects almost immediately, it might take a few days or weeks of regular grounding sessions for others to notice the effects of grounding.

AMAZING RELIEF!!!

I am not one to leave a review. However, I stand on concrete for long periods of time. After a few hours of being at work my mid-back hurts. I've used anti-fatigue mats, low does muscle relaxers, pain patches, turmeric supplements...etc. to no avail. I made the decision to take a chance on this product. The minute I stood on this I felt the warmth flow up my legs. Almost instant relief. Honestly, if I stand without the mat the pain returns. When I start using it again the pain dissipates. If like me, you question yourself "Is this worth the money, will I get relief?" The answer is yes, my friend, yes. One more thing, I do have the opportunity to stand barefoot (which is the only way it works for me). Good news if you do not have this luxury, they have a wrist band which provides the same relief.
